Board
of Directors
It
is the goal of the Board of Directors to both promote the concept
of "lead by example" and to also be an example of leadership
for the community at large.
Our
efforts to lead by example are reflected in the manner by which
we seek to create a truly collaborative decision-making process.
As such, we customarily seek to make decisions by consensus, leaving
voting as a last resort, respecting the opinions of each member
and appreciating the difference that each brings to the leadership
experience. Through such behavior, we hope to serve as a template
for problem-solving actions in wider community issues.
In
the position of leadership within the Hispanic community, we hope
to inspire all whom we serve to embrace our goals and participate
in whatever manner possible to enhance the quality of life for all
within our community. We believe that only through open collaboration
can trust be established, and only with trust can we establish the
Hispanic Alliance as a force for positive change with the Hispanic
community.
